Programme

Once again I am lost in the sea.

Water floods into me from all directions. I feel suffocated. The back of my head drags me backwards. All of a sudden, the sea that I love becomes a terror.

The light before my eyes is real. The nausea is real. The pain in my hands and feet is also real. Madly I struggle, but the more I struggle the more disoriented I become. My head hits a rock, and suddenly everything before my eyes turns ashen white. The inside of my head goes black and my hands and legs go limp. Yet the body starts to become one with the stormy water. I float and flow with the rhythm. I hear music coming from my soul! So I let go: the music calms me, and the movements of my body make me conscious and alive.

Without knowing it, I breathe out. There and then, I see a beam of light. fall of a sudden is a new dance in which the sense of a situation beyond control comes with pulsating and flowing movement. The twisted body becomes an empty shell who has forgotten its way. The mind gives into the will to struggle. When the fighting is over, a stronger more connected voice appears, and the body awakens in the warmth of engaging music.

In this dance, Allen Lam has created a unique dancing space combined with the musical talents of PC Muñoz and Kyle Bruckmann, collaborating artists from San Francisco. Between motion and stillness is the cycle of life. fall of a sudden tugs at your core and invites you to join the flow!
