The Brigade General’s son, Shi Lun, ogles Xiuying’s beauty and makes a pass at her. Kuang Zhong, a military officer, happens to go by and comes to her rescue. Mrs Chen offers to let her daughter marry him. But later, out of spite, Shi Lun frames Kuang as a result of which Kuang is banished to Zhangzhou. Xiuying disguises herself as a man to go to seek the help of his sworn brother, Wang Fugang. She passes by Yulong Mountain where Guan Yulian, the daughter of the fort owner, mistakes her to be her fiancé, Wang Fugang. On the other hand, Kuang has been released of his charge. He goes on an investigation incognito to seek evidence of conspiracy to revolt by Shi Lun’s father, the Brigade General Shi Xulong. So he and Xiuying happen to meet......
