2013 Hong Kong Youth Music Camp - Residential Camp

  Camp A (14-20/7) , Camp B (21-27/7)

The Hong Kong Youth Music Camp is a major annual summer youth activity organized by the Music Office. This year, the Camp will be held at Lei Yue Mun Park and Holiday Village managed by the Leisure and Cultural Service Department. The beautiful setting of camp site and the facilities available will provide campers with an ideal place to live and to make music. Campers from Junior Chinese Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Symphony Orchestra, Junior String Orchestra, Youth Choir and Chinese Orchestra will receive industrious training under the tutelage of Xiao Chao (Xi’an), Gustavo Fontana (Argentina), Dr. Philip Baldwin (US), Dr. Leung Chun Chim (US), Stephen Cleobury (UK) and Chen Tscheng-hsiung (Taipei). In addition to the intensive training, campers will also take part in a balanced programme of musical and recreational activities designed for their development of musical skills and relaxation.
  Campers will be required to perform in the following public concerts to be held at Leisure and Cultural Services Department performing venues as follows:

Camp A:
21 July 2013 (Sun) 3pm
Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall
Camp B:
28 July 2013 (Sun) 8pm
Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall

(Remarks: Tickets at $80, $60, $40 will be available for sale at all URBTIX outlets from 10 May 2013 onwards.)
  Application Deadline: 1 April 2013 (Mon) as of postal chop
Date of Audition: 1 May 2013 (Wed)
