The Hong Kong Youth Music Camp is a major annual summer youth activity organised by the Music Office. This year, the Camp will be held at Tso Kung Tam Outdoor Recreation Centre managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. The beautiful setting of camp site and the facilities available will provide campers with an ideal place to live and to make music. Campers from the Chinese Orchestra, Children’s Choir, Junior String Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Band and Junior Chinese Orchestra will receive industrious training under the tutelage of Chew Hee-chiat (Hong Kong), Dr. Pearl Shangkuan (US), Chu Yibing (Beijing), Scott Parkman (US), Colin Touchin (UK) and Jing Huan (US). In addition to the intensive training, campers will also take part in a balanced programme of musical and recreational activities designed for their development of musical skills and relaxation. |
