Morning Matinee: Our Evergreen Legend – Li Lihua
Appearing on the silver screen at the young age of 17, Li Lihua had acted in over 100 films over a 40-year career. Nicknamed "Xiaomi" (Little Kitten), Li rarely took a break in her long career, earning her another nickname in the industry: "The Evergreen Tree". Li passed away on 19 March this year, and the Hong Kong Film Archive pays tribute by screening nine works starring the legendary actress in the prime of her life between 1948 and 1957.
